TIMES CIREBON, JAKARTA – Having sore throat could be annoying. The pain, the stiff in your neck all could be somehow frustrating as well. But there are easy ways you could do yourself for home remedies. They work well and could help you relieve the pain. Check them out.

1. Warm drink and fluids

Take a lot of warm water for your daily basis. The more the better. You could also take warm liquids such as chicken soup, or beef soup. Not only taste good, these liquids will help you stay hydrated.

They will also help clear mucous membranes, keep things flowing and prevent sinus infections. Warm temperatures may also reduce coughs by soothing the back of the throat.

2. Gargling

Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Gargle, but don’t swallow. Do it every three hours. It will be a natural remedy that help you ease the pain for it help to reduce swelling and irritation in your throat.

3. Antihistamines or pain killer

An antihistamine will may dull or relieve the throat pain. It will deal with some pain that’s located a little deeper in the glands and other parts of the neck. It help your immune system fight foreign substances. But make sure you don't have any allergy to certain drugs before you take it.

4. Drink Combo

A drink combo usually made of local herbs and spices. Some people add cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger, aromatic ginger, and honey in one glass and added it with hot water. Drink it while warm will sooth your throat and relive your pain.

If you don't have any of those you could just take the local ginger, crush it, keep it on your glass and add 3 spoonful or honey and your soothing drink is ready. Spices stimulate saliva production, improving both hydration and mucus flow in your throat.

These home remedies could be your first alternative for sore throat before seeing your doctor. But if you haven't feel better for at least 2 or 3 days you better see your doctor for a check up. Get well soon!!!.
